About caro

Born in the Midwest and raised by a family that planned dinner during breakfast, my food education came from lived experience rather than culinary school. Summers on the Midcoast of Maine introduced me to farm-to-table as a way of life, collaborations with other talented cooks, my travels, and now my home in Santa Fe, continue to shape my cooking.

Food ethos

I believe in sourcing with intention and supporting the local agriculture that sustains our community. After nearly five years in New Mexico, I’ve built relationships with incredible producers—proof that the desert is far more abundant than people think. Seasonal ingredients lead my creative process, and I regularly source from farms like Lotus Farms, Green Tractor, Khalsa Farms, Montoya Orchards, Maya’s Mushrooms, and more. I believe that gathering over a meal is even more crucial in these wild & dark political times we are experiencing here in the US.

Food is meant to be shared, traded, and enjoyed. If you’re a local grower, or someone interested in bartering goods or services, I’m always open to connecting.
